I am a Honolulu, Hawaii based web outpost that specializes in items from expeditions to such places as the Island of Tiki, Continent of Exotica, The Hawaiiana Atolls, remote villages of South Pacifica, Ancient Siam, the beautiful surrounding lands of East and Southeast Asia and far into the Bay of Bengal. 

My love of all such goes back to my childhood and a horrible looking faux taxidermy parrot hung on a bent up coat hangar and a few other "exotic" pieces that were in my Grandparents basement bar dating back to the mid 60s. Now that parrot is proudly displayed in my home. 

Other things from my childhood that sparked this lifelong love included a trip to Disney World in the summer of 1977 and experiencing the Enchanted Tiki Room along with the rest of Adventureland. Movies from exotic locations like The Creature From the Black Lagoon, early James Bond, old Godzilla movies, a couple Elvis flicks, shows like Johnny Quest, the serial Danger Island and of course Gilligan's Island. Lastly, stories from my Grandfather John who served in the Army in WWII and visited Hawaii, New Guinea and the Philippines in addition to the collection of 78 speed records of Hawaiian and Polynesian music kept in that same basement bar of  our post war midwestern home.

Everything on my site is hand chosen by me and thoroughly inspected to give an accurate description. You will find Premium modern brands, items made in the South Pacific, Vintage goods, fine Asian porcelain, as well as handmade items, art and collectibles that full under the umbrella of what Tiki Ricks represents.
